Students learned about the mission and goals of the Audubon society in our community and its latest project: a Native Plants Garden that will provide education for community members as well as habitat and resources for local birds and pollinators.
The students then helped complete several projects at the garden, lining beds with rocks to retain mulch and soil, and providing a larger rock retaining wall below the garden.
If you are interested in learning more about the garden, you can visit Rockies Audubon's website about it here.
